On 20-22 September 2017 in Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel (Tallinn, Estonia) was held Forensic Medicine Conference of the Baltic Medico-Legal Association. The conference was organized by Baltic Medico-Legal Association.
120 specialists in the sphere of forensic medicine and closed fields from 23 countries took part at this event. Prof. Burkhard Madea (University of Bonn) and Prof. Antti Sajantila and Prof. Ilkka Ojanperä (University of Helsinki) were special guests of the conference. They presented lectures, devoted to forensic autopsy, overview of new and old narcotic substances and of molecular pathology. Prof. Davide Ferrara (President of International Academy of Legal Medicine) and Prof. Duarte Nuno Vieira (President of European Council of Legal Medicine) also took part at the conference.
Presentations of other participants were devoted to the important problems such as: structure of the forensic medicine, thanatology, forensic medical examinations of people, violence against children.
Riga will host next Forensic Medicine Conference of the Baltic Medico-Legal Association in 2020.
