The 18th World Congress of Criminology took place as scheduled at the OP Jindal University in the Delhi Capital Region, India (15-19 December). Institute of Behavioural Sciences, O. P. Jindal Global University, and the International Society of Criminology were organisers of the Congress.

More than 800 persons took part in the 18th World Congress of Criminology. The following participants from different countries took part in the Congress: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, United Kingdom, USA, Zimbabwe, etc.

This year the conference was focus on Urbanization, Globalization, Development and Crime: Opportunities and Challenges of the XXI century. Some of the principle topics for the 18th World Congress on Criminology are Extremism, Terrorism & Warfare: Mass Violence and its Impact on Society, The Victimization of Vulnerable Populations: Crimes against Women, Children, the Elderly & Minorities, The Politics of Crime: The Role of Crime and Terrorism in National & International Decisions & Interventions.

The Congress waw very fortunate with the favorable weather and thus the inaugural and concluding sessions and all the  dinners took place outdoors in a colorful and inviting open setting combining elegance, good taste, and fun.

High quality cultural and musical entertainment was offered each night.

Next important event of the ISC will be in Italy (probably Torino). It will be devoted to the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the ISC in Rome, Italy.
